Exporter Of The Year 2008
Six awards and an honor mention were given to national and
international companies yesterday bye the Guatemalan Exporters´ Association
on the 20th Edition of the National Exports Award 2008.
The
main award Carlos José Castillo went to the Company Det Pon, S.A. who
produce, export and commercialize vegetables and berries under their brand Pakil
Awal (native word for Nest of Growers)

The
other categories winners were:

Years Exporting Companies: Fogel de Centroamérica, S.A. dedicated to
the fabrication of cooling sistems since 1981.
New
Exporters Category: Corporación Bananera El Pilar, S. A., who
comercialices their brand Toñito Quality Products.
Supply
Chain Alliances Program Category: The winner was Cooperativa Agrícola
Integral Chirripec, R. L., an organization with 293 Associates, 109 them are
women who produce and commercialice tea.
Innovative
Company Category: Transactel Guatemala, S. A., a call center´s
industry company who is exporting services since 2005.
Exports
Alliances Category: this is a category that awards the effort
that foreign companies are making to support and create new markets for
Guatemalan companies. The award went to Exim Inelco S. A. de C. V. located in
Mexico.
The
DANIDA was given an honor mention for their support to the exporting sector.
